Belt Labeling.
SQUAREROPE® Multi-groove Drive Belts are labeled with the number of ribs, type and length: 1) Number of ribs: represented by a number. 2) Belt type: PJ and PK represent two types of multi-groove belts. 3) Belt length: The pitch length of the belt is indicated by a number, and the unit is mm.
Belt Specifications
SQUAREROPE® multi-groove belts are manufactured in accordance with the international standard ISO 9982 and the Japanese automobile standard JASO E109.
Cross Section | Rib Pitch bo(mm) | Belt Thickness h(mm) | Length Range Ld(mm) | Min Pulley Dia ddmin(mm) | Quote |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| PJ | 2.34 | 4 | 508-2540 | 20 | PJ |
| PK | 3.56 | 5 | 508-2540 | 45 | PK |

Frequently Asked Questions
The difference is the rib spacing (pitch): 2.34 mm on PJ and 3.56 mm on PK. PJ belts are also thinner (4 mm high, vs 5 mm for PK), so they can run on smaller pulleys: the minimum pulley diameter is 20 mm for PJ and 45 mm for PK. The two profiles are not interchangeable: the belt must match the pulley's groove profile.
