The SQUAREROPE® Banded V-belt is a V-belt set in which the top surfaces of several classical V-belts or narrow (wedge) V-belts are connected in parallel by a tie-band. Its structure comprises the tie-band, the fabric cover, the tension member and the compression rubber core. The tie-band is composed of the cords having sufficient strength and the elastic rubber. Its main function is to connect individual V-belts as a whole set, and the non-uniform vibration of a single V-belt can be offset and minimized. There is a vertical surface on the inner side of the upper two adjacent V-belts, so that enough space exists between the tie-band and the outer surface of the pulley to avoid friction between the tie-band and the pulley and to keep from getting stuck or tearing due to irregular outer circle of the pulley. The space also can accommodate debris. The production process is formed by vulcanization of the same kind material at one time, so each V-belt has the identical length, and the banded set has good integrity, uniform force, stable operation, high bearing capacity and long service life, and is suitable to high-power transmission.
