SQUAREROPE® Classical V-belts consist of the fabric cover, the tension member and the compression rubber core. The role of each part is as follows:
1) Fabric cover is made of rubber-impregnated cross woven cotton-polyester. It provides excellent flexibility and great wear resistance to protect the belt from abrasion and erosion, and enhances the lateral strength of the belt.
2) Tension member is made of the reinforced polyester cords and the rubber compound. The high quality polyester tensile cords are low-stretch. They are embedded in the cushion rubber compound and are supported by the top stretch rubber and the bottom compression rubber.
3) Compression rubber core permits excellent resistance to bending and fatigue. It copes with the compressive stress generated when the belt is bending, maintains the rigidity and elasticity of the belt, and increases the friction contact area between the belt and the pulley to improve transmission efficiency.
